Bringing Medicines Into The UAE: Regular Medicines Don’t Need Prior Approval

UAE Ministry of Health Clarifies: Prior Approval Not Required For Regular Medicines

Following up on the previous notification about prior approval required for bringing medicines into the country, the UAE Ministry of Health has released an update that clarifies the particulars of this rule.

A spokesperson from the Ministry of Health had earlier said that people traveling to the country would require to register any and all personal medications on the ministry website.

And now there has been a clarification from the ministry that this is only required for narcotic-based, psychotropic and controlled medicines, and is not mandatory for regular medicines.
