Extending over 217 hectares, the tour offers visitors breathtaking views of scimitar Oryx, springbok, eland, blesbok, giraffe, zebra and lion, in addition to 38 native and African plants, conducted by Emirati tour guides, with emphasis on local traditions and warm hospitality. Many more species will soon be introduced such as crocodiles and hippos. Established here is also a Sheikh Zayed Tribute Hall providing five interactive galleries; Abu Dhabi Desert Over Time, Looking to the Future, Abu Dhabi’s Living World and People of the Desert. Sustainability and conservation are core in order to teach visitors the importance of sustainability and preserving resources.
