Nestled in a key historic building built in 1928 in the Shindagha Heritage District of Dubai, and once owned by Sheikh Juma bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, this museum unravels one of the most alluring archaeological sites in Dubai. State-of-the-art technology allows the discovery of ‘The Way of Iron’ – a remote desert site serving as a center for metalworking, dated 3000 years ago. It provides insights into the skills and achievements of people who worked at this Iron Age ‘factory’. The 2-storey early Emirati house constructed with local material, is arranged around a spacious courtyard and combines culture with technology, symbolic of the regeneration in Dubai’s oldest district.
