At the heart of Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi is this upcoming cultural attraction, celebrating the life and achievements of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan (1918 – 2004), the founding father of the UAE. Spanning 44,000 sqm, the museum will be home to numerous galleries showcasing the views and beliefs of UAE’s visionary leader, including education, sustainability, conservation, heritage, culture, environment and humanitarianism, which have helped in the transformation of the socio-economic structure of UAE society. Here, visitors will also get a comprehensive overview of the natural and human history of the region dating back 200,000 years ago, as well as unveil cultural and geographic changes over time. Uniquely designed and inspired by falcon wings, the solar-powered sustainable memorial is set to welcome visitors soon this year.
